About the Role

The Intermediate Product Analyst within Simon Fraser University’s Partnership Hub plays a key role in supporting the identification, evaluation, development and optimization of new and existing products and services. This role is responsible for conducting research and analysis to support data‑driven decisions that are aligned with university objectives. It does this by supporting the identification of key sources of uncertainty, data sources, research questions and analytical methods and conducting analysis contributing to clear and actionable recommendations. The role works closely with cross‑functional partners in a dynamic environment to support the successful advancement of product initiatives throughout the product lifecycle.

The ideal candidate is a strong, evidence-driven analyst who can research markets, users, competitors, and financials, turn messy multi-source data into clear insights and practical recommendations for leaders. They’re comfortable building models in Excel and using common user, market, and product research methods. Success also requires excellent communication, workshop facilitation, cross-functional collaboration, strong organization, sound judgment, curiosity about emerging tech/markets, and discretion/confidentiality.
