Your combined expertise in procurement, inventory management, and customer service directly contributes to high levels of customer satisfaction and the overall success of the Profit Centre.

Duties will include:

  • Analyze product on hand and projected sales to ensure optimal stock levels and product availability

  • Create vendor purchase orders to maintain a balanced product mix, optimize material in the Profit Centre, and satisfy projected sales demands

  • Monitor vendor shipments and receipts to ensure material arrives within established parameters; expedite customer orders when required

  • Meet or exceed the Profit Centre targets for order fill rate, inventory turns, and reduction of stale or obsolete inventory

  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, including physically locating, counting, or verifying product

  • Perform system product file maintenance for the Profit Centre and collaborate with the Product Management Group regarding updates, changes, or new product setup

  • Negotiate vendor returns, special buys, freight terms, and local rebate or promotional programs

  • Maintain market intelligence by monitoring pricing levels, competitive activity, and market conditions that may impact inventory levels or customer demand

  • Provide exceptional customer service to contractors and walk‑in customers by handling inquiries, preparing quotations, and providing technical or product support

  • Process customer orders from start to finish, including pricing, product substitutions, sourcing alternate materials, and coordinating delivery or pickup

  • Source special-order products, and assist with bid or project pricing

  • Maintain existing accounts and strengthen customer relationships by understanding customer needs and positioning the Profit Centre as a value‑added solution provider

  • Support warranty claims processing, including gathering required information, working with vendors, and communicating outcomes to customers

  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safety‑focused warehouse and counter environment

  • Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager
