Join Dynamo’s Field Services team and help deliver the technical service standard clients count on across Western Canada. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll schedule and deploy technicians and equipment, act as the primary client contact, and lead safe, efficient execution of commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on electrical power and control systems.
You’ll coordinate pre-job planning and hazard assessments, ensure timely technical reporting, and drive continuous improvement across your crew. Some of your responsibilities may include:
- Assign projects, schedule crews, and deploy equipment to ensure client needs and deadlines are met.
- Oversee all aspects of field work, including testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on power and control systems such as generators, transformers, breakers, and protection relays.
- Drive performance by monitoring costs and utilization, approving invoices, mentoring techs, and conducting performance plans/reviews.
- Act as the client’s primary contact by coordinating work, maintaining clear communication, and delivering accurate, professional technical reports and quotations on time.
- Identify deficiencies, follow up with clients, and support business development initiatives.
- Champion safety by modeling best practices, completing hazard assessments, conducting inspections and meetings, and ensure all safety documentation is current.
Position Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in a related technical field (electrical or mechanical) which allows for a professional affiliation
- At least five (5) or more years of experience and a professional affiliation (e.g., P.Tech., P.Eng.)
- Proven ability to read electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation drawings, use precision test instruments, and interpret results to recommend corrective actions.
- Strength in time management and scheduling, with the ability to balance field and office work effectively.
- “Think-on-your-feet” troubleshooting skills in varied industrial environments.
- Demonstrated ability to identify new business opportunities, build strong client relationships, and contribute to business development initiatives.
- A team-first mindset aligned to our values: Excellence, Accountability, and Doing the Right Thing.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours to meet timelines.
- Physically fit to lift and move heavy items up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license.
- Physical fitness test and drug and alcohol test will be required.
