Position: Program Assistant JOB ID: # 16815459 Location: Oakville (In-Office) Hourly Rate: $20 Industry: Health Services Role Overview Our client in the non profit, healthcare industry is looking for a candidate over the next few months to assist them with medical customer service. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to handle a variety of clerical, and front-office responsibilities, and be responsible for the following, but not limited to:
Responsibilities
- Process, code, and enter invoices for payment; ensure funding approvals.
- Enter and verify banking details; process and post EFT transactions.
- Monitor, correct, and repost discrepancies as needed.
- Purchase and manage office supplies.
- Transcribe and distribute consult reports.
- Draft reports, letters, memos, and emails.
- Maintain filing systems and records.
Qualifications
- Community College Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of general office procedures
- Typing skills at acceptable level (50 words per minute) in order to handle a volume of typing and data entry
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the use of Access Databases and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
