About the role
Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is seeking a Part-time Players Club Host!
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Players Club Host is responsible for providing exceptional customer service at all times and answer all patrons’ inquiries in a professional and friendly manner.
The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:
- Excellent internal and external customer service skills are required to be displayed at all times
- Provide and promote superior customer service
- Understand and explain the benefits of the Rapid Rewards Program to customers and encourage enrolment
- Obtain customer’s personal information and enter it into the KCMS system accurately and in a timely manner. Issue players cards for members
- Verify customer’s identification and screen players bonus points to provide information on redemption for cash back, meals or merchandise
- Issue transaction vouchers for bonus points redemptions as per the KCMS database
- Provide customers with information on the Great Blue Heron Casino facilities and amenities
- Circulate through the Casino to gather information, run surveys, establish and develop relationships with customers
- Liaise with other Casino staff to gather customer information in order to ensure satisfaction and outstanding customer relations
- Take photos of Jackpot winners and complete the Photo Release Form
- Ensure information displays and brochures are on the counter within customer’s view
- Assist with promotions, giveaways and special events as required
- Assist with Bus Program, enrolling and distributing coupon booklets to participating customers
- Provide sales of merchandise and various other types of products
- Assist with moving, lifting and accurately verifying inventory level Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Supervisor.
Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Completion of High School Diploma
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and KCMS operating system
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience
- Minimum 1 year of cash handling experience
- Experience with Scratch tickets and Nevada sales
- Experience with public speaking and managing inventory levels preferred
- Strong computer skills including accurate data entry, work with multiple screens, mouse maneuvering through different screen tabs, numeric keypad ability
- Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand for a full shift
- Must be outgoing, well-mannered, friendly and display professional image at all times
- Ability to work independently under pressure in a fast paced work environment
- Ability to prioritize and possess excellent time management and organizational skills
- Able to maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to follow and comply with company and departmental policies and procedures
- Excellent customer service skills to maintain good rapport with customers and employees
- Ability to perform tasks and duties effectively and safely within prescribed time limits The ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO)
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs. Ready to embark on your next adventure?
