About the role
Position Summary: As the IT Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the resort's information technology systems. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring seamless operations, exceptional guest experiences, and efficient communication across all departments.
Wage range for this position is $26.44 - $28.85 per hour.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitor and manage the resort's network infrastructure, servers, workstations, and other IT equipment to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Provide technical support to staff members, addressing hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups, to safeguard data integrity and system security.

Maintain and troubleshoot network connectivity, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and internet access, to ensure reliable and fast connections throughout the resort.

Assist with configuring and maintaining network equipment, such as routers, switches, and firewalls to support various services and applications.

Install, update, and maintain software applications used across different departments, ensuring compatibility, security, and proper functionality.

Provide training to staff members on the effective use of software tools and applications to improve efficiency and productivity.

Implement and enforce security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls, to protect the resort’s digital assets and sensitive information.

Educate staff members on cybersecurity best practices and conduct regular security audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.

Liaise with various departments to understand their IT needs and requirements, providing technical solutions and recommendations as necessary.

Foster effective communication channels to address IT-related concerns, updates, and changes among different teams.

Work in collaboration with the resort’s contracted IT service providers.

Co-operate and accept other assignments as and when required.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Proven experience in IT support, system administration, and network management.

Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common software applications.

Strong knowledge of networking principles, protocols, and troubleshooting techniques.

Familiarity with hardware components, peripherals, and mobile devices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with staff and guests effectively.
