About the role
docbraces MCO has an exciting 3-month contract opportunity (with possible extension) for a Sterilization Technician to join our teams in Markham, Scarborough, Oshawa, and Stouffville, ON. This position is part-time, scheduled Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Canadian Orthodontic Partners provides support services to docbraces MCO and our national network of community-based clinics in delivering personalized Orthodontic treatment. We provide an enhanced level of patient care and service experience in our clinics putting patient care above all else.

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and families in the patient area.
- Help in sterilization and turnover/cleaning of hygiene chairs between patients.
- Document all sterilization cycles and as indicated by public health regulations.
- Exit patients from the clinic.
- Maintaining patient records
- Bring patients in for their visit in an enthusiastic way, building a personal connection at every visit.
- Desire to help, educate and improve our patients’ lives.
- Prepare and maintain all dental instruments, supplies and equipment.
- Organize, clean, and maintain a clean and sterile clinical area.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work cohesively with fellow team members to provide an atmosphere of trust, respect, and cooperation.
- Perform any other tasks delegated or assigned by the Orthodontist or leadership team.
- Possess great energy for a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Lab/Sterilization Technician experience is considered an asset but not required.
- Experience with clinical sterilization practices also considered an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, an ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
- Great time management and organizational skills.
- Willing to travel to MCO locations
