Position Summary The Plant Supervisor is responsible for supervising hourly unionized employees and providing strong leadership to ensure the safe, environmentally responsible, and cost-efficient operation of ready-mix plant(s). This role also requires maintaining positive, professional relationships with customers and collaborating effectively with all internal departments to support seamless business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee production and distribution operations for assigned ready-mix plant(s), ensuring quality and productivity targets are met.
  • Manage and lead plant staff, including performance monitoring, coaching, and handling grievances in a unionized environment.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards through inspections, training, and incident investigations.
  • Maintain efficient plant operations by coordinating with engineering, maintenance, fleet, and dispatch teams.
  • Achieve financial objectives by assisting with budgeting, monitoring expenditures, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide exceptional on-site customer service, ensuring timely deliveries and resolving inquiries or concerns effectively.

Requirements

  • College diploma in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, construction, or logistics.
  • Experience managing employees in a unionized environment.
  • Strong understanding of OH&S regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • ACI Certified (considered an asset).
  • Valid AZ or DZ License (condsidered an asset).
