Graham is actively recruiting for a Senior Financial Accountant supporting the Corporate Services Division. Reporting to the Director FP&A, the Senior Financial Accountant lead day‑to‑day responsibility for core Central Operations Accounting activities.
This is a permanent fulltime role with minimum 2-Days in our Corporate Office in Calgary.
Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
-Lead operational accounting close activities(month end, quarter end, year end), including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entry review, estimates, and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. -Provide technical accounting expertise, particularly on revenue recognition, audit support, internal allocations, labour burden rates, and preparation of accounting memos and executive ready materials. -Own day to day Central Operations Accounting responsibilities, assuming full accountability during the maternity leave period and ensuring continuity post transition. -Drive process improvement and systems optimization, including adherence to documented processes, support of ERP enhancements (SAP preferred), and promotion of standardization and automation. -Act as a senior business partner and leader, collaborating closely with Operations Finance, FP&A, and Corporate Finance while providing guidance and oversight to accounting staff as needed.
The Right Tools for the Job
-Education: Degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field -Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; construction, engineering, or project‑based environments strongly preferred -Software: Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience strongly preferred with advanced excel. Working knowledge of Power BI and Power Querry is an asset -**Certifications:**CPA Designation is required, Strong knowledge of ASPE / Canadian GAAP (IFRS exposure considered an asset)
