About the role
Role: Growth Designer Location: Remote, North America preferred Commitment: Full-time, 2 week paid work trial Comp: ~CAD$85-95k for someone strong in design/CRO but light on dev, ~CAD$105-120k for someone who genuinely covers all of it (design, dev, CRO, creative direction). Room for growth based on impact.
About Pixyls Pixyls is a Canadian e-commerce brand making sticker-by-number kits and creative products that people genuinely love. We've sold 250,000+ kits globally across Canada, the US, and internationally, and we're scaling fast. Our product is great. Our website doesn't do it justice yet. That's where you come in.
We're a team of 15, remote across Canada, the US, UK, and Spain. You'll work alongside talented artists and creatives, giving their work the showcase it deserves, in crisp 4K, on a site that finally does it justice.
About the Role We're looking for a Growth Designer to own the visual experience across our entire brand. This isn't a "make it pretty" role. You'll need to understand why a customer clicks, how design drives revenue, and how to build pages that convert. Think LEGO's product pages: every product feels like its own world. That's the bar.
What You'll Do Design and build high-converting product pages and landing pages on Shopify Understand our customer segments and build design-driven funnels based on intent and buying stage Direct product and lifestyle photography Design the website experience for new product launches, collections, and campaigns Coordinate brand storytelling across all touch points (website, email, social) Work with freelancers and external creatives where necessary Use AI tools every day to move fast. This is non-negotiable. We don't use AI in our art or photography, but we do use it to move faster.
What You Bring A strong design eye. Your portfolio speaks for itself. UX/UI experience. You think in user flows, not just visuals. Landing page and CRO experience. You've built pages that convert and you can explain why. Branding chops. You can maintain and evolve a brand system, not just follow one. You already use AI daily. It's just how you work.
Nice to Have Web development knowledge. Enough to build or tweak Shopify pages (Liquid, HTML/CSS, Figma-to-code). 3D modelling skills (great for product renders and interactive previews) CRO/analytics tools (GA4, Hotjar, Triple Whale, or similar heatmap/A/B testing tools)
Who You Are You don't need 10 years of experience. But the work you have done is genuinely impressive. You move fast. Perfectionism doesn't slow you down. You iterate quickly and ship often. You want to grow with a business, not just fill a seat. This role has real ownership and impact. You're a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do next. You're excited by e-commerce, DTC brands, and creative products.
How to Apply Send your portfolio and a short note on why this role excites you to rachel@pixyls.ca. Bonus points if you include a product page you've designed that you're proud of and can talk about what made it convert.
