About the role
We are looking for a Legal Counsel, Workplace Benefits and Retirement
Reporting to the Managing Counsel, Workplace Benefits and Retirement, you will be a key member of the legal team providing support to our Canadian business units by providing practical, timely, and business‑focused legal advice on a wide range of issues, with a primary focus on group insurance/workplace benefits. You will work closely with legal professionals and business leaders on a wide range of matters arising across our various businesses, particularly within our group insurance operations.
You will leverage your legal expertise to help mitigate risk and support business units in achieving strategic goals. This role offers exposure to a wide range of legal issues and the opportunity to develop deeper expertise in dynamic and evolving practice areas. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly accomplished team of legal professionals supporting one of Canada’s leading financial institutions.
