About the role

Expected Salary Range: $65941 - $82426 Annually Target Variable Performance Pay: 6%   The salary range shown above reflects the expected  compensation for this position. The final salary offered will be determined based on a holistic assessment of the candidate’s experience, education, training, and alignment with the role’s requirements. For positions covered by a collective agreement, placement within the range will follow the applicable step or classification.   The Operations Analyst supports business operations within Toronto Hydro's growing Streetlighting portfolio dedicated to city infrastructure upgrades. This role is responsible for data analysis, reporting, invoicing, vendor management, and budget tracking, including supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, while working closely with leaders to coordinate projects and support day-to-day activities.   This posting is for an existing vacancy.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Presents findings through technical and business reports, including process maps, graphs, charts, and tables Supports Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, data management, and reporting by maintaining accurate data and preparing regular reports Maintains system documentation and supports improvements to databases and tools to enhance reporting and decision-making Assists with project coordination and delivery of departmental initiatives Supports financial activities, including budgeting, spend tracking, and forecasting Supports vendor management activities, including coordinating with vendors (e.g., City of Toronto) and processing invoices Conducts data analysis using large data sets, multiple variables, and cost-benefit analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement

  REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Engineering (Electrical preferred), or a related field One (1) to Three (3) years of experience in engineering, business analytics, financial management or data management (co-op experience accepted) Experience in a regulated industry and knowledge of applicable statutory and regulatory obligations is an asset Experience managing and analyzing large datasets, and knowledge of programming languages (e.g., R, Python, VBA) is an asset Experience supporting financial management activities, including budgeting, spend tracking, and forecasting Experience coordinating projects and knowledge of project management principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) Knowledge of Tableau, Alteryx and/or SAP Strong business acumen Strong problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills Highly responsible and proactive, with a customer-focused mindset and a proven ability to build strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to manage competing priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment

  This position is based in a hybrid environment allowing for remote work two days per week, based on business needs. Employees will be required to come onsite Tuesday to Thursday.
