The Role
The Designer plays a central role in shaping new product lines, transforming conceptual ideas into market-ready designs. Guided by their Design Director, this individual contributes to the evolution of multiple in-house brands, using sales insights and research to anticipate trends and define product direction.
This role focuses primarily on Accessories, with opportunities to support programs across categories. From early-stage CAD concepts to final samples, the Designer collaborates with manufacturers, suppliers, internal partners, and brand teams to deliver high-quality, purpose-built collections.
The Responsibilities
• Develop Accessories and packaged Basics collections across various in-house brands, with a strong focus on bags, hats, socks, intimates, activewear gear, and related items.
• Build detailed line sheets for internal product development teams and overseas manufacturing partners.
• Produce inspiration boards, theme concepts, and visual storytelling materials for upcoming seasons.
• Research and forecast trends in materials, silhouettes, prints, and colour direction.
• Manage the design process from initial sketch through to sample development.
• Partner with offshore vendors, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders to ensure product feasibility and quality.
• Take ownership of designated segments of the product line, including design intent, colour direction, and construction details.
• Collaborate regularly with sales and production teams to ensure collections meet client expectations and market needs.
• Present design concepts effectively to customers and internal teams.
• Maintain alignment with broader sustainability initiatives and consider environmental impact in day-to-day decisions.
The Requirements
• Degree in Fashion Arts or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience designing Accessories.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong understanding of fibers, yarns, and performance-based fabrics.
• Solid knowledge of garment construction and fit.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent time-management skills and comfort working under tight deadlines.
• Thrives in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
• Willingness to travel seasonally for sourcing, development, or presentations.
