About the role
Fraser Valley Refrigeration is looking for a hard working sheet metal apprentice who is looking to grow in their career. This role would be working on commercial projects and residential mid rise projects. Responsibilities
- Perform ductwork installations, repair, maintenance, and service individually, and as part of a team.
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
- Measure and order material as required.
- Complete required documentation (i.e. electronic timesheets, job reports etc.) for services performed.
- Work respectfully with other sub-trades and site super.
- Lay out, measure, and mark sheet metal.
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.
- Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications.
- Provide services to both internal and external customers.
- Using hand and power tools including grinders, wire cutters, power drills, shears, etc.
Qualifications
- A proven systematic and organized approach to multitasking.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision.
- Professional and exceptional communication skills both written & oral.
- Sheet metal experience is preferred but not required
Compensation & Benefits: Local 280 Union
- Overtime Pay
- Excellent Benefits and Pension plan.
- Above industry average wages
- Wage/Salary – Union Rates
- 12% Vacation and 5.7% Pension paid for by employer.
