About the role

Qualifications:

  • Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certification in a Public Health endorsed Food Handling Course required.
  • Completion of a Food Service Worker community college program preferred.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or commercial food services preferred.
  • Cooking/Food preparation experience preferred.
  • Cashier experience preferred.
  • Able to perform the full range of duties as required in this position including some lifting of weight (up to 40 lbs).
  • Working knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points controls.
  • Good organizational, interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently and effectively with staff, customers and patients.
  • Satisfactory attendance record.
