Job Summary Leading groups of skiers and snowboarders in Whistler Blackcomb’s lift-accessed backcountry terrain with routes extending into Garibaldi Provincial Park. Guides will provide a safe, rewarding, and education experience in the backcountry environment. Casual and Part Time positions available.
Job Specifications
- Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $55.98/hr
- Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026
- Shift Type: Part Time hours available
- Minimum Age: At least 15 years of age
- Housing Availability: No
Job Responsibilities
- 
Ensure safe practices while skiing/ travelling through both resort and backcountry terrain. 
- 
Attend and contribute to AM guides meetings. 
- 
Ensure continued and ongoing guest training and awareness for safe mountain travel, avalanches and rescue. 
- 
Maintain constant awareness of mountain conditions (weather, snowpack and changes). 
- 
Maintain an intimate knowledge of the emergency response plan and intent. 
- 
Adhering to the Run List as produced from the AM Guide Meeting. 
- 
Zone selection for the day and run selection for their group based on: 
- 
Mountain Safety 
- 
lift Access 
- 
Skier ability 
- 
Skier preferences 
- 
Gather snow safety information when it is prudent.

- ACMG Ski Guide or UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide
- CAA I (CAA II preferred)
