OVERVIEW

Bass Installation is a construction company located in Mississauga, Ontario specializing in the supply and installation of glass on skyscrapers, office buildings and high-rise residential buildings throughout the GTA. We are currently looking for a full-time Driver and Warehouse Assistant to join our team.

DUTIES

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will be located at our head office in Mississauga and will be part of the Purchasing and Inventory department.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee maintenance of company truck including but not limited to general care and upkeep, fuel levels, and completion of daily vehicle inspections
• Drive a pickup truck safely
• Plan and navigate efficient driving routes
• Respond to changes in road and job site environments to effectively deliver equipment and materials
• Effectively communicate with various sites to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
• Maintain knowledge of current project requirements as it relates to tools, equipment and consumables as required
• Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on various shop tools and equipment as required
• Locate and store equipment and materials in designated locations within the warehouse as required
• Lock up warehouse exits at the end of the day
• Act as a backup in the absence of the Logistics and Inventory Coordinator
• Communicate with various sites regarding inventory and consumable requests and provide confirmation of the deliveries, backorders or in-transit as required
• Organize and coordinate deliveries as required
• Shift is 6:30AM - 3PM Monday to Friday

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience performing deliveries
• A minimum of 1 year of construction experience preferred with relation to tool and equipment
• Proficient experience with Microsoft 365
• Prior experience with tool management applications considered an asset
• G Class Driver’s license with clean driving and criminal record
• General knowledge of building materials
