What you’ll do
-*Team Leadership:*Lead and supervise the facility’s warehouse and service team, including millwrights and shipper/receiver personnel, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth daily operations. -*Operational Management:*Oversee daily workflow, monitor schedules, expedite parts and orders, and ensure on-time delivery to keep the facility running efficiently and on budget. -*Safety and Training:*Conduct safety meetings and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), ensure all team members complete required safety training and certifications, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. -*Customer and Stakeholder Engagement:*Represent Weir with local clients, build strong relationships with sales and service teams, and proactively address customer concerns through site visits and problem-solving. -*Inventory and Resource Planning:*Analyze inventory data to maintain adequate stock levels, coordinate with inside sales and shipping to meet business needs, and identify inventory gaps for leadership resolution. -*Human Resources Partnership:*Collaborate with HR on recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and disciplinary actions for the service team. -*Success Metrics:*Ensure the facility operates smoothly with well-coordinated schedules, satisfied team members, timely project completions, and maintained customer loyalty. -*Travel Requirements:*Occasional travel for site and customer visits as needed to support operations and customer relations. -*Safety First:*Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.
What you’ll bring
Must-haves:
- 5-10 years of hands-on supervisory experience managing service and operations teams, preferably in industrial or mining-related environments.
- Strong people management skills combined with proficient computer and ERP system experience for order tracking, parts management, and workflow coordination.
- Experience working directly with millwrights or shop floor personnel, with the ability to lead by example and stay engaged in daily operations.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning software.
- Background in the mining industry with an understanding of the urgency and tempo of mine site operations.
- Previous experience as a millwright or similar trade, providing firsthand knowledge and leadership credibility on the shop floor.
Professional designations such as P. Eng, CET, or Millwright license. Technical degree or diploma in a relevant field such as mechanical engineering, millwright, or technologist background.

Compensation:$80,000-110,000 CAD dependent on skill and experience level.
