Classification: Full time, Immediate Hire
Salary: $32.00-$35.00/HR + Signing Bonus of $20,000

Your area of focus.

The Body Technician is responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have been damaged in accidents or collisions. This includes inspecting and evaluating damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, repairing dents, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards.

What drives your day-to-day?

  • Review work orders and estimate reports to understand the scope of repair.
  • Disassemble damaged areas to identify "hidden" damage that wasn't visible during the initial estimate.
  • Map out the repair process, ensuring all necessary parts are ordered and on-site.
  • Use hydraulic jacks and pulling equipment to realign frames and unibody structures to millimeter-perfect precision.
  • Remove dents using hammers, dollies, and specialized dent-pulling equipment.
  • Apply body fillers to minor dents and grind/sand them until they match the vehicle's original contours.
  • Temporarily remove interior trim, electrical wiring, and mechanical parts (like radiators or suspension) to gain access to body work.
  • Assist in the recalibration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) like backup cameras and proximity sensors located in bumpers.
  • Clean and prep repaired surfaces for the paint department.
  • Conduct a final "fit and finish" check to ensure door gaps are uniform and all latches operate smoothly.

What are the must-haves…

  • Red Seal Certification is a requirement for this role
  • Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses
  • Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence to processes
  • Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively
  • I-CAR certification training and I-CAR certification would be considered assets
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
