About the role

The Global Wealth & Asset Management (GWAM) FP&A team delivers accurate, timely, and relevant reporting and analysis to stakeholders across business units, Group Finance, Investor Relations, and senior leadership. The team is also advancing a modernization agenda, upgrading and centralizing its delivery model and driving process improvements through new tools and capabilities (e.g., Anaplan, Power BI, data platforms).

The Manager, GWAM FP&A Transformation & Reporting will lead GWAM FP&A’s internal transformation efforts (focused on enablement through Anaplan and related analytics tools and helping team’s planning/forecasting/reporting processes), while also providing hands-on support for BAU management reporting and insights.

Position Responsibilities:

A) FP&A Transformation Leadership (Anaplan / Reporting Enablement)

  • Lead GWAM FP&A’s transformation workstream for planning, forecasting, and management reporting improvements—assessing current state processes, identifying gaps, and defining future-state improvements enabled by tools such as Anaplan and Power BI.

  • Act as a liaison between GWAM FP&A business users and development partners (e.g., Anaplan/Power BI COEs), ensuring requirements are understood, prioritized, and translated into build-ready artifacts.

  • Elicit and document business and data requirements; prioritize them based on urgency/complexity and align to delivery timelines.

  • Produce clear design documentation, such as:

    • user experience mockups / report wireframes
    • calculation logic and assumptions
    • data/process flow diagrams and controls
    • testing scenarios and acceptance criteria
  • Coordinate testing (initial capability testing and UAT), manage defect triage, and support release readiness and cutover activities.

  • Facilitate go-live and stabilization, including initial user support and quick-turn fixes during the hypercare period.

  • Deliver training and enablement for end-users and BAU “superusers,” and provide guidance to administrators on ongoing maintenance/administrative tasks.

  • Identify and implement opportunities to standardize and streamline processes, improve data quality, reduce manual steps, and strengthen governance/control points.

B) BAU Management Reporting, Insights & Executive Storytelling

  • Produce and/or oversee high-quality monthly/quarterly reporting, dashboards, and presentations for BU and senior leadership—ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and strong “storyline.”
  • Consolidate, analyze, and synthesize complex financial and non-financial information across multiple sources and stakeholders.
  • Provide value-add insights, trends, and recommendations, including supporting development of new metrics, KPIs, and decision-support analyses.
  • Contribute financial “proof points” to strategy and business-led discussions, ensuring outputs are underpinned by integrity, alignment, and consistency in look/feel.
  • Backfill/reporting support during vacations and peak periods, handling ad-hoc requests and urgent deliverables while maintaining quality and controls.

C) Stakeholder Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Build strong relationships with FP&A partners, BU finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders by understanding needs, constraints, and business priorities.
  • Serve as a GWAM FP&A point person/SME for selected initiatives; coach teammates through new processes, tools, and reporting standards.
  • Lead ongoing improvements—exploring and implementing solutions to enhance reporting, analysis, and process efficiency.

Key Success Measures (What “Good” Looks Like in 12 Months)

  • Delivered prioritized Anaplan/Power BI enhancements for GWAM FP&A with clear requirements, strong adoption, and reduced manual reporting effort.
  • Improved process efficiency and consistency (standardized templates, clearer KPI definitions, stronger governance).
  • Maintained (or improved) BAU reporting quality and timeliness, including smooth coverage through vacations/peaks.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance (or related discipline such as finance, business management, statistics).
  • 6–8 years of progressive experience in FP&A / finance (wealth & asset management exposure is an asset).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve end-to-end processes, translate business needs into clear requirements, and deliver practical solutions in partnership with technical teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with executive-level deck production and succinct communication.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, customer focus, and a track record of delivering quality outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA/CMA/CGA/CA) preferred.
  • Experience with Anaplan and/or Power BI (plus Alteryx or related automation/analytics tools).
  • Experience developing/validating financial models and identifying risks/opportunities.
  • Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Essbase/ledger tools) is an asset.

When you join our team:

  • We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want
  • We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words
  • As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see
