Join a well-established manufacturing company in Abitibi-Témiscamingue that designs, manufactures, and distributes equipment used by forestry and industrial businesses across North America. Every part produced contributes directly to the quality and reliability of the equipment leaving the plant.
As a CNC Machinist, you will be involved in the manufacturing of components for the sawmill, forestry, recycling, and biomass processing industries. Programming, setup, and operation of various machine tools will be part of your daily work in an environment where CNC machining, conventional equipment, and custom projects coexist.
Job Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications.
- Request and gather the materials required for manufacturing parts.
- Program, set up, and operate various CNC machine tools.
- Machine parts according to blueprints and required tolerances.
- Operate a variety of machining equipment, including a CNC lathe, horizontal boring mill, CNC milling machine, and conventional machines.
- Perform plasma cutting and oxy-fuel cutting when required.
- Inspect manufactured parts to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform basic maintenance and necessary adjustments on equipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth production operations.
- Perform any other related tasks associated with machining and manufacturing.

Requirements
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Machining (asset).
- Experience in CNC machining, conventional machining, or a similar position.
- Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines.
- Knowledge of machining processes and machine tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
Salary : Starting at $35 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule : Day shift, Monday to Thursday (40 hours over 4 days).
Status : Permanent position.
