POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is located at our Yonge Eglinton Centre Office and is responsible for supporting the end-to-end administration of contracts, budgets, and invoices for commercial construction projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of vendor setup, contract execution, and financial tracking within Yardi. Through strong attention to detail and collaboration with Project Managers and Finance, the Jr Analyst helps maintain operational efficiency and financial integrity across the development portfolio.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Present and explain analysis results and variances.
- Budget Management: Enter and maintain construction budgets in Yardi, ensuring alignment with project scopes and financial forecasts.
- Invoice Processing: Review, enter, and route invoices for approval, ensuring adherence to contract terms and internal financial controls
- Cash Flow & Receivables Management: Track outstanding receivables and maintain up-to-date monthly cash flow summaries, incorporating actual expenditures and revised project forecasts to support accurate financial planning.
- Reporting & Documentation: Generate Yardi Job Cost, Reforecast, and Accounting Reports; compile invoice packages for funding requests and internal reporting.
- Quarterly Accruals: Assist with the preparation and final review of quarterly accruals related to commercial construction projects.
- Cost Database Maintenance: Support the creation and upkeep of a cost database to enhance benchmarking and cost analysis.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Project Managers, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure contract and invoice accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and support project delivery.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline contract and invoice workflows, enhance system usage, and strengthen operational controls.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree or diploma in Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field; additional certification in contract administration or project coordination is an asset.
- Proven working knowledge of Yardi or similar ERP systems used in construction and development environments.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, contracts, and financial documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with cross-functional teams including Development, Finance, Legal, and Project Management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with reporting tools and financial systems is an asset.
- A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
$56,000 - $77,000 a year
The base salary range for this role reflects compensation for candidates at**varying levels of experience and proficiency.**The salary will be determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant competencies, including skills, experience, education, and our teams’ requirements.
The listed salary range***does not include bonus and other total rewards.***This role is eligible for participation in the company’s bonus program.
