Position Summary
The Environmental Services Department is currently seeking a temporary part-time Environmental Services I team member.
Effective Date: October 06, 2025
Ending on or before Date: March 02, 2026
Department/Unit/Program Description
The Environmental Services Department strives to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The duties of the department are carried out to the highest possible standard in accordance with infection prevention and control best practices.
Essential Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and co-operatively with all levels of staff, patients and the public
- Demonstrated high level of communication, organizational and time management skills
- Must have, or be willing to successfully complete training in a number of required competencies including CPI, WHMIS, etc.
- Must be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and periods of bending/stooping
- Must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job as per the current Physical Demands Analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping/grounds keeping experience in a health care setting or similar institution
Hours of Work
Must be available for days, evenings, and nights, Monday through Sunday, with weekend rotation. Shifts and hours may vary according to departmental requirements and as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
