We’re looking for an analytic, proactive, investigator to serve as a Loan Rehabilitation Advisor. The ideal candidate will manage activities on loan files to prevent or minimize loan losses. They will monitor loan files for signs of potential delinquency and act directly with business members to remedy or find resolution.
What You’ll Do
- Execute credit reviews, detailed analysis of financial statements, and provide various financial ratios and projections in support of credit decisioning and loan analysis.
- Conducts detailed credit analysis to assess health and risk levels of Commercial and Ag loans.
- Implement strategies related to loan rehabilitation and delinquency resolution.
- Delivers proactive tactics and measures for high-risk loan accounts and/or distressed borrowers, to help mitigate potential losses.
- Develops, recommends and implements strategies, policies, and procedures to rehabilitate and collect on problem loans.
- Establishes contact with distressed borrowers, including managing difficult and emotional member situations, and acting as liaison between members and internal staff.
- Consults with third parties (Lawyers, Appraisers, Bailiffs, and Receivers), including coordinating with external agencies for foreclosures, acting on the authority of the organization.
- Prepares regular reporting on assigned relationships, including security valuation, loan loss provision analysis and quarterly monitoring.
- Serves to advance the well-being of real people and their communities while deepening current member relationships and/or recruiting new members. Actively seeks to connect with current and potential members out in our communities.

What You’ve Got
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, plus 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Intermediate understanding of Affinity Credit Union’s business objectives and divisional business operations
- In-depth knowledge of credit granting and complex business evaluation, with intermediate knowledge of Ag and Commercial lending practices and legislation
- Intermediate knowledge of negotiation and conflict resolution strategies
- Ability to conduct and use leading practice research to create, implement, and revise innovative processes
