About The Role:

As theRetail Project Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and executing a variety of in-store projects within our Retail experience stores, and channel partners across Canada. Highly collaborative with our interna sales team and end customer, they will assist with start up and existing locations to ensure the execution of merchandise planning is successful. Your drive to ensure that the client and customer experience is the primary focus is key. The individual must be capable of facilitating end-to-end retail project management – inclusive of brief development, financial management, design, build, execution, and reporting.

  • Retail Project Management – 60%
  • Provide project management support for Retail and carrier channels, new builds & retrofit projects.
  • Be able manage/facilitate a product launch reset for a display / shop-in-shop program from brief development to fabrication of new elements, to retrofit/refresh management of third-party installation labour
  • Collaborate with 3rd party manufacturing partners, agencies, retail partners/landlords, and internal stakeholders to bring projects to life
  • Create, & present design proposals to both internal & external stakeholders for approvals
  • Collaborate with marketing team to deliver impactful messaging & experience contents
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing team to share launch reset plans & field questions

Merchandising Support – 30%

  • Oversee maintenance programs & escalation of priority issues being closed out
  • Assist in validating installation compliance for project

Financial Management – 10%

  • Manage project budgets for maintenance / retail support services programs
  • Collaborate with Finance team to facilitate bidding projects
  • Assist leads with monthly budget forecasting accruals

What You’ll Need

  • University degree or College equivalent (Business Administration, Project Planning and or Commerce or Accounting) preferred.
  • 3-5 years of retail project and planning and execution with large scale application
  • Experience with an ERP system (preferably SAP) an asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of budgets, design proposals and bids.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills with ability to present control analysis and recommendations with clarity and professionalism.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to influence.
  • Exceptional Excel and Power Point Skills.
  • The position requires a broad audit experience and the ability to interact with management at all levels.
