Join Michael Hill in a Maternity leave coverage position as a Human Resources & Talent Acquisition Coordinator in our multinational Human Resources Team. In this role you will be the first point of contact for candidates and team members for all HR related enquiries. This role will play a pivotal part in assisting with the administration of the seasonal casual hiring process, working closely with the wider Talent Acquisition and HR Team.
It’s our busiest time of year! This role supports the Human Resources (HR) and TA team with issuing employment contracts, managing the background check process, overseeing leaves of absence and workers’ compensation claims across Canada, handling reporting and benefits administration, and providing prompt, efficient support to our store leadership network and the wider HR team.
The role will require working full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm, with occasional evening meetings due to our global operations for an 18-month period. This role will be responsible for helping deliver outstanding experiences for our people and leaders.
More About You
- 2 - 3 years HR related experience in a multi-provincial environment
- A good understanding of employment standards and related applicable legislation
- Strong administration and organizational skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and apply strong prioritization skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong understanding of HR-related processes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, and above-average verbal and written communication
- Systems-savvy, with a general curiosity and willingness to learn
- Adaptable, resilient, and flexible in a changing work environment
