As an Automotive Apprentice at Cobourg Nissan, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills under the guidance of experienced automotive technicians. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals passionate about automotive technology and eager to kick-start their career in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in Repair and Maintenance: Work alongside senior technicians to assist in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various automotive systems.
Perform Routine Inspections: Conduct routine vehicle inspections to identify issues and ensure vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
Learn Diagnostic Techniques: Learn how to use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot automotive problems effectively.
Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Maintain Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean and organized to promote efficiency and safety.
Assist with tire storage
Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers professionally, providing updates on vehicle repairs and answering their questions as needed.
Training and Development: Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance your technical skills and knowledge of automotive systems.
You will perform oil changes, Tire Changes and Rotations, multi-point inspections, and maintenance. Maintaining the cleanliness of the shop and equipment, retrieving and storing away seasonal tires from storage also required (and other duties as requested)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions from senior technicians.
Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
