Our P&C Pricing and Segmentation team is considered an industry leader in the application of actuarial science. As an Actuarial Consultant, you will lead commercial auto and farm pricing initiatives and collaborate with business partners to understand their needs. You will lead complex projects to deliver unique solutions to ensure the profitability of our auto and/or home portfolio.
How you will create impact:

Developing rate change projects (rate level or segmentation) and various advanced analytical models aligned with corporate strategies.

Preparing of rate filings and negotiating with regulators to support proposed changes.

Working efficiently with advanced modeling softwares, various data sources and programming languages to contribute to strategic objectives.

Analyzing the needs of business partners to identify innovative solutions for complex challenges and clearly articulating actuarial concepts to key stakeholders.

Coaching and mentoring team members to facilitate their development and fostering a team environment focused on collaboration and innovation.

Leading and executing medium to large sized projects by defining a project plan, promoting team involvement and increasing efficiency as a team.

To join our team:

You have completed a post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or a related discipline.

You have a minimum of 3 -5 years of relevant experience in the property and casualty actuarial field.

You have advanced knowledge of modeling softwares and programming languages (SQL, SAS, R and/or Python).

You have strong knowledge of P&C insurance products, emerging trends and best practices in the actuarial landscape.

Having or working towards the CAS or CIA fellow or associate designations is an asset.

Having experience with Earnix is an asset.

This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.
