ABOUT GAMING
The Gaming branch is responsible to achieve annual revenue targets through provincially operated gaming activities that align with AGLC's vision of responsible gaming. The branch ensures that Gaming activities in the province are operated with integrity and social responsibility, aligning with Gaming Regulations and Board Policy and deliver on commitments to stakeholders in the province of Alberta.
Gaming activities included Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs), Electronic Table Games (ETGs), Video Lottery Terminals (VLTs), Lottery and Online Gambling.

JOB SUMMARY
Field Technician: Grande Prairie to service High Level, Peace River, Valleyview, and Grande Cache. Make a difference in Alberta’s gaming industry while growing your technical career!
Join the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) as a Field Technician and help maintain the integrity of gaming across the province. In this role, you’ll provide hands-on technical support for electronic gaming equipment while building strong relationships with stakeholders and communities.
What You’ll Do
- Install, service, and maintain Video Lottery Terminals, slot machines, and ticket lottery terminals.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic gaming devices in various environments.
- Work independently while following AGLC policies and security standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and the public.
What We Offer

- Grande Prairie allowance of $6,000 annually (paid bi-annually).
- Per diems for travel outside Grande Prairie.
- Unique shift schedule: 8 days on, 6 days off (Wed–Wed) from 8am – 5:40pm
- First-year vacation: 1 week + 21 hours personal time.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Electronics Diploma or Certified Engineering Technologist designation.
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move equipment up to 300 lbs
- Valid driver’s license and clean abstract.
- Assets include
- Customer service experience
- SSIT Certification
