We areseekinga highly experienced and motivated Design Manager to lead the design delivery of complex infrastructure projects in Toronto. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring design excellence and integration across multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design development of large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Act as the primary liaison with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on designobjectivesand delivery.
  • Oversee multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring coordination across civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and systems engineering disciplines.
  • Develop and implement design strategies, project structures, and delivery plans to meet project milestones andbudget.
  • Ensure compliance with BIM standards and digital delivery requirements.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to design managers, engineers, and technical staff.
  • Manage design processes, approvals, and quality assurance across all project phases.
  • Support construction teams with design-related queries and field changes.
  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement in design practices and project delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario or eligible for licensure.
  • PMP certification is an asset.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in design management of major infrastructure projects.
  • Proven experience in underground transit systems, multidisciplinary coordination, and large team leadership.
  • Strong understanding ofBIM Level 2and model-based delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in design-build andcollaborativecontract environments.

Preferred Experience

  • Leadership roles in infrastructure projects involving underground transit systems, stations, tunnels, and multidisciplinary design integration.
  • Experience managing large design teams across multiple geographies.
  • Familiarity with Canadian infrastructure standards and regulatory environments.

The expected salary range for this position is from $162,000 - $199,000

Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
