The Canada Programs Division of Everest Insurance Company of Canada, a member of the Everest Group, Ltd. is looking for a Programs Underwriter to join our Toronto office.

As a key member of Everest Canada’s programs division and reporting to the VP Programs and Fronted Solutions you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of MGA’s and Affinity Programs, day-to-day underwriting operations, program management and development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to continue to drive growth and profitability.

##Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Develop and execute strategic initiatives that support growth, profitability, and retentions
  • Review and Analyze Monthly Program Reports
  • Referral Management
  • MGA and broker relationship management
  • Special projects and other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

##Qualifications, Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years Property / Casualty Underwriting
  • High School diploma required
  • College degree preferred

##Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong oral and written communication, analytical and computer skills.
  • Bilingual English and French preferred
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to maintain excellent relations with MGA’s, reinsurers and brokers providing superior service.
  • Team oriented and ability to work effectively with peers.
  • Strong prioritization skills to meet daily demand and deadlines to meet all service requirements.

The base salary range for this position is CAD 75,000 - CAD 110,000 annually . The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO). This position is a replacement.
