About the Opportunity
An Alberta-based general contractor with a full slate of ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) work is looking for a Senior Project Manager to take the wheel on some of their larger Edmonton-area builds.
This isn't a role for someone who wants to be handed a playbook. You'll be expected to bring your own systems, mentor the PMs and Coordinators underneath you, and own the outcome.
Duties include but are not limited to
Own project delivery end-to-end, from early preconstruction planning through warranty close-out Build and defend project budgets and schedules to internal leadership and the client Mentor and manage a team of Project Managers, Coordinators, and Superintendents Sit across the table from clients and consultants as the primary point of contact Get ahead of risk, whether it's a contract issue, schedule slippage, or scope creep, before it becomes a problem Negotiate change orders and subcontracts Report on project health and financials to senior leadership
About You
The successful candidate will have the following
8+ years in progressively senior project management roles within ICI construction A track record of running large commercial or institutional projects from start to finish Sharp with numbers: budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting Natural at managing up, down, and across a project team Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree/diploma Gold Seal certification is a plus
About the Job
This is a permanent role with a base salary in the $135,000 to $175,000 range depending on experience and project scale, plus a bonus program, benefits, and a genuine path to grow within the organization.
