Delivery Driver - Full-Time (5 Tonne Truck) - Ottawa, ON
Fresh Start Foods Canada Ltd. was founded in 1993, committed to providing Foodservice Customers with the freshest fruits and vegetables possible through an outstanding supply network and efficient distribution.
Summary/About the Role
Fresh Start Foods is hiring a Full-Time Delivery Driver to join our Ottawa team. As a 5 Tonne Truck Driver , you will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of food products throughout Ottawa, Ontario and the surrounding areas. This is a permanent position in a fast-paced environment where safety and customer service are paramount.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $21.00 per hour
- Schedule: Full-Time, permanent, Monday-Friday (5:30 am - 3:30 pm)

Key Responsibilities/What You Will Do
- Execute scheduled deliveries of fresh produce to Foodservice customers (restaurants, institutions, etc.).
- Safely operate and maintain a 5 Tonne Truck (Straight Truck) on urban and regional routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring transportation and logistics compliance.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety protocols, including load security and handling procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer service during drop-offs and collect necessary documentation.
- Accurately track deliveries and maintain electronic or paper logs as required.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar transportation role is highly preferred.
- Valid Ontario Driver's License (G or equivalent).
- Clean commercial vehicle operator's registration ( CVOR ) and Driver's Abstract (Must be provided).
- Physical capability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently during the loading and delivery process.
- Flexibility to work the required schedule (Mon-Fri, 5:30 am - 3:30 pm), with availability for occasional Saturdays.
