About the role
Position Summary
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for receiving products, verifying accuracy, unloading products, organizing them, moving products to production, and loading trucks for delivery to customers. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely and accurate product handling to meet customer requirements.
Location: Strathroy
Reports to: Sanitation and Shipping Manager
Hours of Work
1 - Sunday 10:00 am to 8:30 pm, Wednesday and Thursday 3:15 pm to 1:45 am
2 - Sunday 10:00 am to 8:30 pm, Wednesday and Friday 3:15 pm to 1:45 am
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and pick orders to ensure accuracy and timeliness based on customer requirements.
- Load/unload trailers safely according to company procedures, ensuring correct products and quantities for delivery.
- Safely operate power equipment to complete tasks and report any equipment issues.
- Scan and move products to the NAV inventory system and complete all required HACCP forms accurately and in a timely manner.
- Comply with all company policies and Health and Safety rules.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager/Supervisor.
What We’re Looking For
- Grade 12 education or equivalent, with computer literacy required.
- Previous warehouse experience is an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and mathematical abilities, with proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with adaptability to change and openness to learning new methods.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, making quick and accurate decisions.
