Group Division:

At Arrow Engineered Products, we design and manufacture turnkey solutions for a wide range of customers with needs in nuclear, chemical mixing, heat exchanger, and autoclave systems, including fuel storage and various custom-designed pressure and non-pressure systems, all in compliance with ASME, PED, ULC, and API certified design criteria.

Position Summary:

The Painter / Blaster will be responsible for the preparation and application of protective coatings, paints, and finishes to various products and materials in the paint line. The incumbent will be responsible for preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming. The painter will work closely with the production team to meet production goals, quality requirements, and maintain a safe and efficient working environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Setting up the paint line for various paint jobs.
  • Washing and/or prepping for paint jobs.
  • Spray painting of various parts.
  • Following Kanban/tag schedule.
  • Pre and post inspection of parts for defects.
  • Monitor and maintain the paint equipment and tools.
  • Reviewing and suggesting ways to increase throughput on the paint line.
  • Monitoring/maintaining the respirator program.
  • Strict adherence to safety.
  • Various labor-intensive jobs include lifting, carrying, moving, and so on.
  • Other duties as required.

Required Skills & Expertise:

  • Knowledgeable in the mixing and application of the wet paint process.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Able to work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Incumbent must be safety-conscious, as well as dedicated and reliable. It’s also beneficial to include some of the key skills or traits your team wants candidates to have

Equipment/ Tools/ Technology Used:

  • Able to use jib cranes and related lifting attachments, and handheld equipment that may be necessary for the job
  • Follow the written instructions when completing a work order for barcode production.

Physical Demands:

  • Manufacturing or workshop environment with exposure to loud noise and moving mechanical parts
  • Personal Protective Equipment provided and must be worn
