Job Title : Senior Workday HRIS Analyst
Department: Human Resources
Position Reporting To : Human Resources Manager
Direct Reports: None
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid/Remote; arrangement to be determined)

General Description
The Sr. Workday HRIS Analyst will be a strategic member of our growing HR Program Delivery team. This role will support Workday modules, including Core HCM, Recruitment, Talent, Time & Absence and Advanced Compensation. The ideal candidate brings solid Workday configuration experience, a solutions-oriented mindset, and the ability to collaborate with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
Key duties include gathering requirements, designing and implementing solutions, leading testing and deployment, providing ongoing system support, training users, and ensuring data integrity and security. This hands-on role requires a strong understanding of Workday's functionality and the ability to collaborate across the organization.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- System Configuration : Design, configure, and maintain Workday modules like Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Benefits, and Recruiting. This includes setting up organizational structures, business processes, security roles, and condition rules.
- Integrations and Reporting : Work with technical teams to ensure seamless integrations with other systems. Design, develop, and maintain custom reports and dashboards.
- Security : Set up security configurations. Define security domains, business process policies, and conditional access controls to govern what users can see and do. Resolve security-related issues and provide support for security aspects of projects and integrations.
- Manage User Accounts : Create security groups, review user privileges, and deactivate accounts as needed.
- Data Integrity and Compliance : Ensure data accuracy, validate configurations, and maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- System Support : Provide ongoing day-to-day support and troubleshooting for Workday issues and serve as a point of escalation for complex problems.
- Testing : Develop functional test cases and support end-to-end testing, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Training and Documentation : Create and maintain training materials, user guides, and other documentation for end-users and support teams.
- Requirements Gathering : Partner with HR and business leaders to understand their needs and translate them into efficient, scalable Workday solutions.
- Project Leadership : Lead functional aspects of Workday projects, from initial discovery and design to testing and deployment.
- Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend strategic Workday solutions to enhance efficiency and user experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Workday Pro or Workday certifications.
- Experience in People Operations or HR technology roles, ideally in a high-growth or rapidly changing environment.
- 5+ years of hands‑on Workday HRIS configuration, system builds, experience across Core HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Time & Absence, Benefits, Core and Advanced Compensation
- Experience with EIBs, Core Connectors, and Workday security frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Workday business processes, calculated fields, and eligibility rules
- Demonstrated ability to design, configure, test, and deploy module solutions end-to-end.
- Experience building and optimizing Workday reports and dashboards; strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Experience supporting multi‑site or global environments.
- Experience with job architecture, compensation cycles, and new Workday deployments.
- Experience in manufacturing, pharma, biotech, or regulated industries.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and partner effectively with employees at all levels.
- Systems thinker with a builder mindset — proactive, curious, and motivated to automate and improve
