SCHEDULE: 15 hours per week (day, evening, weekend)

WORK LOCATION: Bibliomobile CLSDS, 480 BOUL ARMAND-FRAPPIER Laval H7V 4B4
The challenges that await you
On board the Bibliomobile, you travel the Laval territory to provide essential services: document loans, subscriptions, and personalized support to organizations, institutions, and during public events.
- Warmly welcome and assist various clientele in their living environment (organizations, francization classes, neighborhood parties, etc.).
- Advise citizens in their searches and show them how to take advantage of the services of the Laval Libraries.
- Contribute to the cultural vitality of neighborhoods by creating positive experiences.
- Participate in transactions, subscriptions, and the classification of documents.
- Prepare the necessary materials for Bibliomobile activities, including transporting boxes of books.
- Communicate and interact with diverse audiences.
Work schedule
Two shifts are currently available. Please note that schedules are subject to change 3 times a year.
Shift #1
- Monday 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM
- Tuesday 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM
- Wednesday 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Shift #2
- Monday 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM
- Tuesday 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM
- Thursday 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM
The ideal profile for us
- Have completed a secondary school diploma (DES);
- Have one (1) year of relevant experience in customer service requiring direct contact with the public;
- Hold a class 5 driver's license in accordance with the requirements of the Société automobile du Québec;
- Have an interest in literature and general culture;
- Have a perfect knowledge of French, both oral and written, and a functional mastery of the English language orally (an asset);
- Be comfortable with computers and new technologies, including digital reading devices;
- Have a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
- Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills and be a good team player;
- Be able to work under pressure, respond adequately to unforeseen situations, and demonstrate great adaptability.
