Centre hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with some flexibility for weekday evening work depending on client needs.

About the Opportunity
We are looking for two Early Learning Resource Consultants (until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of extension) to provide direct support and/or consultation to children and staff in licensed childcare centres and develop flexible support plans to meet the needs of each child referred for service. Early Learning Resource Consultants works collaboratively with families, childcare centres, and community partners to support children with diverse developmental needs. This role focuses on enhancing inclusion, building capacity within childcare environments, and supporting children’s optimal development through consultation, education, and direct intervention.

What we need from you:
- Early Childhood Education Diploma
- Registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators is required.
- Resource Teacher certificate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g, child studies, psychology)
- Minimum three years experience working with children with diverse abilities
- Working knowledge of the Child Care & Early Years Act
- Ability to lift and move children and equipment as required
- Knowledgeable of local community resources for children with disabilities and their families
- Experience working with children with special needs is an asset
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, balanced with a commitment to a collaborative team approach.
- Sensitive to linguistic, cultural, social, economic, individual and positional differences among staff, providers and children/families served.
- Ability to organize, and prioritize in a fast-paced service-oriented environment
- Committed to working within a family-centred approach
- Strong communication skills including verbal, written, presentation and listening skills
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Competency in using various computer tools such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Internet.
- Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset
- Satisfactory criminal background check and vulnerable sector screen (CPIC)
- First Aid and C.P.R. Certification is required
- Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required
