About the role
Mud Club Inc. is a Canadian company focused on gaming therapy, dedicated to supporting youth across the country. Through play-based therapeutic gaming experiences, Mud Club helps young people develop social skills, boost their confidence, and form meaningful connections in a safe and engaging environment. By combining therapy with the power of gaming, Mud Club creates opportunities for growth, resilience, and community, empowering youth to thrive both online and offline.
The Role We’re looking for a Minecraft Server Administrator who lives and breathes Minecraft. Someone who knows the difference between Bukkit, Spigot, and Paper, has tinkered with plugins until sunrise, and gets excited about creating seamless multiplayer experiences. In this role, you’ll lead the design, development, and maintenance of our Minecraft servers, working alongside our Mud Club team to deliver engaging play-based therapy, events, and gaming programs.
What You’ll Do
- Build, manage, and optimize Minecraft servers (Java Edition focus, Bedrock knowledge a plus).
- Develop and customize plugins, mods, and configurations to bring unique Mud Club experiences to life.
- Ensure servers run smoothly — monitoring performance, troubleshooting, squashing bugs, and keeping lag at bay.
- Collaborate with our team of therapists, admins, and program leads to design fun and accessible gameplay experiences.
- Maintain server security, backups, and updates.
- Support events and game nights with technical expertise and creative flair.
- Experiment with new ideas, mechanics, and worlds that fit the Mud Club vibe.
What We’re Looking For
- Deep knowledge of Minecraft servers, including plugin/mod frameworks and configuration best practices.
- Experience hosting, managing, or developing multiplayer servers (share your portfolio if you have one!).
- Familiarity with Minecraft community management, moderation tools, and anti-grief systems.
- Comfort with remote teamwork, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with non-technical teammates.
- Creative mindset — you don’t just fix servers, you help imagine what’s possible in them.
Bonus Points If You
- Have experience with Microsoft 365, Dynamics, or other collaborative tools.
- Know your way around databases, scripting, or automation.
- Have previously built communities or managed gaming events.
Perks of Joining Mud Club
- 100% remote — work from anywhere, preferably somewhere with good Wi-Fi and a comfy chair.
- Join a playful, supportive team who cares deeply about making a difference through gaming.
- Opportunities to innovate and shape the future of game-based experiences in therapy and community building.
- Paid to play Minecraft (yes, seriously).
How To Apply Complete the application form and questionnaire.
