Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads and oversees Sonepar Canada's online content strategy and approval workflows, ensuring effective coordination and quality control.
  • Design and produce internal and external communications assets including monthly newsletters, flyers, brochures, digital ads, social media graphics, and presentations through the utilization of design and web software tools.
  • Oversee corporate Intranet content by coordinating regular updates to keep information current and accurate, monitoring user feedback to address concerns, collaborating with various departments for relevant contributions, and establishing guidelines to ensure content quality and consistency across the platform.
  • Preparation, creation, and distribution of both weekly and bi-annual newsletters.
  • Organize and manage communications assets, templates, and creative files.
  • Manages, monitors and finds opportunities to increase social engagement with Sonepar Canada's on-line presence (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn).
  • Collaborate with Operating Companies (OPCOs) to efficiently collect and distribute company content.
  • Maintain brand standards and ensure consistency across all creative materials.
  • Coordinate with vendors and printers on production-ready files.
  • Responsible for managing corporate document translation and when required, coordination of the material with agencies. Work with a translator to edit and proofread content in both English and French.
  • Analysis of media coverage and digital analytics through tracking trends in news stories, evaluating the reach and sentiment of media mentions, and examining key performance indicators from digital platforms.
  • Support Senior Executives with communication initiatives as required.
  • Support brand/marketing objectives.
  • Coordinates the promotion of corporate initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of marketing coordinator, graphic design, or similar role experience required.
  • High school diploma required.
  • University/College Degree preferred.
  • Professional writing, research, and journalism skills.
  • Experience with Media Relations.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing and social media platforms.
  • Experience working with Marketing/Communications Software (Canva, Photoshop, InDesign, Hootsuite, Mail chimp).
  • Proficiency in the full Microsoft Office suite is required.
  • Good relationship building skills (industry press, senior management).
  • Experience designing both print and digital formats.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven track record at meeting project deadlines.
  • Can exercise good judgement, tact and discretion at all times and with all levels of the organization.
  • Basic understanding of electrical industry (is an asset).
  • Bilingual (French/English) both written and verbal (is an asset).
