Role Profile
Position: Warehouse Supervisor
Job Location: Oshawa, Ontario
Operating Business: LGG Industrial, LP

Summary of the Role
Provides overall leadership and supervision of all warehouse personnel in our Oshawa facility. Incumbent will schedule work, coordinate activities, implement and monitor best practices for safety, quality, efficiency, inventory management and establish and implement measurable objectives for job performance.
Responsibilities
- Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
- Provides leadership and direction, including performance feedback, work goals and development to the warehouse team.
- Holds team accountable for results while providing positive reinforcement and support.
- Maintains focus on continuous improvement opportunities; effectively leads change and builds commitment within the team.
- Takes ownership and responsibility of all aspects of work environment; understands key drivers and gathers/presents data to support recommendations for change.
- Working closely with Ops Supervisor, responsible for managing local inventory (organizing, monitoring, consistency, inventory write-offs; maintain cycle counting; write-off short lengths, etc.),
- Works closely and communicates with Production Manager, Ops Supervisor, sales and customer service re: warehouse issues; establishing priorities, addressing backlogs, identifying issues and offering solutions.
- Implement process to stage orders with goal of eliminating backorders; ensure on-time deliveries and accurate fill rates.
- Investigate and address root cause of non-conformances related to the warehouse and warehouse activities.
- Adhere to and maintain ERIKS Quality process in the warehouse, work to “0” error rate in fulfillment of customer orders.
- Working closely with Production Manager, educate and/or train warehouse personnel in the performance of their duties including inventory management, best practice in quality of production, work processes, etc.
- Monitor departmental supplies and submit requests for replenishment
- Recommend substitutions or corrections to managers or sales force to minimize waste or to expedite orders.
- Maintain process equipment and report servicing needs to management.
- Participates (hands on) in all warehouse operations requirements including fabrication, inspection, test and pick assemblies and parts, put stock away, and/or shipping and receiving.
- Implement best practices to package orders to minimize potential damage in shipment.
- Process RGA’s, non-conformances and corrective actions in accordance with Quality System requirements.
- Assist all division staff to ensure total customer satisfaction in support of division financial results.
- Communicate general and quality-related concerns to the management.

- Additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Highly organized, able to multi-task and maintain visibility of key objectives

- Plans ahead; experienced creating and working to a production schedule requiring coordination of multiple functional areas
- Expected to have or to learn details of products stocked and sold; knowledge of shipping methods; and software systems specific to the work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years post-secondary education.
- Prior warehouse experience is essential
- Must have demonstrated success in a leadership role
- Completion of inventory management, purchasing and/or Warehouse & Logistics is highly desirable
- Proficient English language skills; fluent reading, writing and oral communication.
- Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
