Mandate Context

Our client, a large financial institution, is developing and evolving a diverse portfolio of solutions on AWS.

This role covers both:

• the creation of new cloud-native applications, and
• the evolution of existing architectures.

A strong focus will be placed on Event-Driven Architectures (EDA) using Apache Kafka, as well as Domain-Driven Design (DDD) approaches to structure and scale systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design reliable, high-performing, and secure AWS architectures.

• Evaluate and estimate the technical efforts of projects.

• Propose optimized solutions aligned with business needs.

• Actively contribute to the implementation of AWS services and Kafka.

• Ensure technical consistency and collaboration across teams.

Desired Profile
Technical skills:

• Advanced AWS expertise: EKS, Lambda, Step Functions, DynamoDB, Aurora, API Gateway, S3, VPC, CloudFormation/Terraform, CloudWatch.

• Strong mastery of Event-Driven Architectures with proven experience using Apache Kafka.

• Solid experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservices.

• Strong knowledge of asynchronous patterns and distributed architectures.

Experience and qualities:

• Ability to accurately estimate development and evolution efforts.

• Talent for simplifying and communicating complex technical concepts.

• Technical leadership and collaborative mindset.

• Experience in complex environments, ideally regulated or financial.

Assets:

• AWS Solutions Architect – Professional certification.

• Experience in large-scale system migrations or modernization projects.

• Experience setting up event streaming platforms.
