Purpose of the Role:: The Client Service Associate, Estates Administrator provides expertise, guidance, and a high level of administrative support to our Private Wealth Team as they work directly with our clients who are going through estate settlements. This role manages end-to-end workflow to facilitate a smooth and client-centric settlement process making a meaningful impact to clients during one of the most difficult times in their life.
This is a hybrid role based in our Toronto or Vancouver offices. Core Responsibilities:
- Review client holdings in investment accounts and determine requirements to settle estates and death claims.
- Liaise with investment custodians and insurance carriers to disburse funds, prepare account applications, transfer documentation, and other related forms when necessary.
- Communicate with executors and clients directly to facilitate the execution of settlement.
- Provide support and guidance to navigate the estate settlement process, proactively escalating where necessary to ensure strict adherence to SLAs.
- Provide support to Advisory Services Team and process beneficiary change requests and POA updates as needed.
- Collaborate with Private Wealth team to provide expertise and create a seamless client experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related experience.
- Undergraduate degree or related financial services designation is an asset.
- A strong understanding of registered plans in relation to the estate settlement process.
- Experience processing beneficiary changes and setting up POAs on client accounts.
- Basic knowledge of common law in relation to estates and wills.
- STEP CETA course or willingness to enroll.
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams and experience with a CRM database.
Compensation & Benefits Package:
This position comes with a base salary range of $51,000 - $65,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
