About the role
Board Appointments (International) , on behalf of a strategic investment fund financing companies and venture capital funds for the people of British Columbia, is seeking to appoint an Independent Member to join its board.
Selection criteria:
Basic requirements:
- B.C. resident;
- Board experience – strategic leadership; accountability; people; structures; compliance and evaluation.
- Designation of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) is nice to have, but not required.
The organisation is seeking candidates with the following priority skillsets:
- Entrepreneurial expertise in the development of new and innovative businesses.
- Preferred track record of building and scaling businesses, strategic thinking, and innovative problem-solving skills.
- This individual should understand the challenges and opportunities faced by growth-oriented organisations in British Columbia and be able to provide guidance on fostering innovation, driving sustainable growth, and navigating competitive markets.
- Knowledge of the innovation/entrepreneur sphere in British Columbia/Canada.
Remuneration: Paid
