Role Overview

The Site Supervisor, Glazing is responsible for leading day-to-day field operations on commercial glazing projects across the GTA, with a focus on curtain wall and structural glazing systems. You will direct crews on site, coordinate with project managers on scheduling and scope, and make sure every installation meets spec and is done safely. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who understands the technical side of the work and can keep a site organized without having someone look over their shoulder. You will travel between active job sites regularly and be the first person crews and contractors call when something needs to be resolved. What You Bring to the Table

Technical Skills

  • 5 to 7 years of field experience in commercial glazing, including a minimum of 2 years in a direct supervisory capacity, with direct exposure to curtain wall and structural silicone glazing (SSG) systems

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, glazing specifications, and shop drawings

  • Working at Heights certification , WHMIS, First Aid/CPR, and aerial/elevated work platform (scissor lift or boom lift) certifications required; valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence required

  • Experience supervising glazing crews and coordinating with general contractors and consultants on active job sites

  • Solid understanding of glazing installation sequencing, tolerances, and quality control requirements

  • Experience creating safe work instructions (SWIs) and site logistics plans for commercial glazing projects

  • Ability to forecast labour hours, equipment usage, and cost and time to complete projects

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor work on active commercial construction sites in all weather conditions

  • Regular work at heights using aerial work platforms and elevated access equipment

  • Physical demands include lifting and carrying materials, prolonged standing, climbing, and working in tight or confined spaces

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise glazing crews on active commercial job sites across the GTA, including curtain wall and structural glazing installations

  • Confirm that all work is completed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and quality standards

  • Conduct daily site inspections and document progress, deficiencies, and corrective actions

  • Enforce health and safety requirements on site and lead by example in every situation, in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA); conduct regular toolbox talks and daily safety briefings; complete incident and near-miss reports and participate in investigations

  • Coordinate with project managers on scheduling, material deliveries, and scope changes

  • Manage crew assignments and adjust labour allocation based on site conditions and project priorities

  • Liaise with general contractors, building owners, and consultants as needed to keep work moving

  • Review drawings and specifications before work begins and flag any conflicts or gaps early

  • Complete daily reports, timesheets, and site documentation accurately and on time

  • Travel to multiple job sites within the GTA region as project workload requires

  • Coordinate sequencing and site access with other active trades to prevent conflicts and keep work on schedule

  • Track labour hours against project budgets and report variances to the project manager in a timely manner

  • Manage punch lists, deficiency tracking, and coordination of final inspections through to project close-out
