Our office in Niagara Falls, ON, is looking for a Equipment Repair Technician to join our team.
Summary of the Role Reporting to the Fleet, Tool, and Equipment Manager, the Equipment Repair Technician will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on construction equipment including but not limited to hydraulic systems, welding/piping equipment, rigging devices, and electrical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair construction tools and equipment including Hydraulic Jacking Systems, Threaders, Benders, and Material lifts.
- Inspection and certification of Hoisting Devices such as Chain falls, Pullers, and Engine Hoists.
- Calibrate and repair Welding and Cutting equipment.
- Perform maintenance on 2 stroke engines and powered equipment including Generators, Light Stands, and Pressure Washers.
- Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and repair parts in an orderly manner.
- Receive, and inventory new tools and equipment upon receipt.
Key Requirements, Experience And Skills
- Certification in maintaining rigging equipment is an asset.
- Repair certification courses in electrical, piping, and welding equipment is preferred.
- 442A Industrial Electrician certification would be an asset.
- Construction trade or equipment knowledge is required.
- Previous experience repairing tools in a Construction based environment is required.
- Familiarity with DeWalt, Makita, and Milwaukee power tools is preferred.
- Forklift Experience and/or certification required.
