About the role

Are you passionate about customer service and technical equipment? Do you have extensive experience in heavy machinery parts and want to contribute to the success of a well-established company in its sector?

Our client, a company located on the South Shore of Montreal and well-established in the distribution of heavy equipment for the environmental and construction sectors, is looking for a Parts Clerk to support its commercial and operational activities, working directly with both internal and external clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Welcome, advise, and respond to customer inquiries by phone, email, or in-person.
  • Accurately identify technical needs and recommend the appropriate parts or solutions.
  • Prepare estimates, create purchase orders, and ensure complete follow-up on files.
  • Ensure the accuracy of information in the ERP system (orders, inventory, deliveries).
  • Collaborate with the purchasing team to initiate orders based on urgency levels.
  • Support the technical service team with parts requests and quotes.
  • Manage internal returns and ensure effective coordination with the warehouse.
  • Participate in equipment training and observe repairs to better understand the products.
  • Apply health and safety regulations and contribute to a positive and safe work environment.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role, ideally related to heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and comfortable with digital tools.
  • Bilingualism (French/English) required to communicate frequently (about 50% of the time) with English-speaking clients and suppliers.
  • Forklift certification (an asset).

Salary: Between $35 and $40 per hour, depending on experience. Schedule: Daytime. Status: Permanent.
