About the role

Are you interested in an opportunity to grow professionally within a positive and progressive culture? Northern Health is seeking a Primary Care Admin Coordinator to join our Primary Care Admin Coordinator department

In accordance with established vision and values of the organization, this position performs confidential administrative support and secretarial functions to senior staff in accordance with Northern Health policies and procedures. Supervises and coordinates Primary Care Assistants throughout the assigned communities, including on-site visits to various sites as required. Performs duties such as word processing, data entry, preparing correspondence and reports, responding to inquiries, monitoring expenditures and providing input into the development of policies and procedures, manages staff schedules and arranges meetings.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: : Monday to Friday, Days - 08:30 to 16:30

The quality of care increases by providing continuity of care over time and across settings and will result in better long-term health outcomes.

The Chetwynd Primary Care Clinic Boasts Over 6,000 Square Feet Of Nature-inspired Design Harmonizing With The Facility’s Natural Surroundings. It Contains 12 Exam Rooms, Office Space, 1 Procedure CPR Room With AED. Services Provided By Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses And Support Staff In The Clinic Include

  • Public health nursing
  • Home and community nursing
  • Home Support
  • Aboriginal Liaison
  • Mental Health and Addictions

In addition, specialized services are offered in the clinic on a weekly

Basis, Including

  • Dental
  • Dietitian
  • Audio

Chetwynd lies in the foothills of the Eastern slope of the Rocky Mountains and is the natural transportation hub of the Peace River Country.
