About the jobWhat will your main responsibilities look like?
In this role, you will be led to:
- Collaborate with peers and the product manager to deliver value to customers.
- Propose innovative solutions to meet business needs.
- Participate in the design, development and deployment of micro-services, API and web applications.
- Develop solutions using programming languages and modern cloud concepts.
- Write automated tests and write infrastructure as code.
- Participate in debugging and problem solving.
- Design and implement user interfaces for web applications.
- Build and deliver quality commercial enterprise software in the Microsoft Azure cloud.
- Perform initial analysis, architecture, development and testing.
- Understand customer needs and build appropriate technical solutions.
- Be a key participant in product planning, reviews, and backlog maintenance.
- Review and challenge product requirements to help the team develop optimal solutions.
- Contribute to ongoing efforts to improve the development process and further automate development and test operations.
What elements of your professional background will be necessary and useful in this role?
- Experience of 5 years or more in web application development.
- BackEnd development experience using NodeJS and Python (Flask API)
- FrontEnd development experience with React frameworks (Next.js and others), and JS frameworks like Angular.
- Knowledge of Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, SQL.
- Knowledge of unit testing, processes and best practices.
- You have experience working with platforms that expose APIs and extension points for 3rd-party developers.
- Experience with building and consuming Web services - API development (Restful) - Experience in integration for CRM (Salesforce, Ms Dynamics).
- Comfortable with large datasets, and experience with Relational and non-relational DBs.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing Agile/Scrum/DevOps environment.
- Strong interest in developing technical knowledge and expertise.
- Dynamic, energetic and in solution mode.
- Very good interpersonal skills and likes to share opinion.
- Required: Authorized to work in Canada—unfortunately we are not able to sponsor work visas or transfers at this time.
What are the assets that would make you stand out?
- Bachelor’s degree in software development or a related program.
- Experience with AWS services (IAM, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, Cognito, Lambda, Fargate, ES, etc.).
- Experience with Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with e-procurement and/or e-commerce technology products.
