About the Role:
Reporting to the President, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) will lead the company’s commercial strategy and execution across Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Client Support. You will work closely with the President and Executive Team to drive sustainable growth, expand market share, strengthen customer relationships, and identify new opportunities in domestic and international markets.
This is a highly visible leadership role where you will influence corporate strategy, shape the customer experience, support acquisition initiatives, and build high-performing teams. The successful applicant will:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies that accelerate growth across domestic and international markets.
- Identify and build strategic partnerships with suppliers, customers, industry experts, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor a team of Directors and Vice Presidents in developing and executing business plans and objectives.
- Collaborate with the Executive Team to drive organizational performance and strategic priorities.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, emerging opportunities, and industry risks to inform business decisions.
- Drive successful new product launches and commercialization strategies.
- Align marketing strategies and initiatives with commercial goals and revenue targets.
- Own the customer experience and strengthen customer engagement across all touchpoints.
- Establish, monitor, and improve commercial KPIs and performance metrics.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, clear communication, and employee engagement.
- Develop succession plans, identify high-potential talent, and provide coaching and mentorship to leaders across the organization.
- Ensure consistent performance management practices, employee development, and role clarity throughout the business.
- Standardize training practices across divisions while promoting compliance with safety requirements and company standards.
- Lead negotiations for new and renewing supplier agreements.
- Drive adoption and effective utilization of HubSpot CRM and other commercial tools.
- Oversee revenue growth, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L performance.
- Analyze business and financial data to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Support corporate merger and acquisition activities through insights, evaluation, and execution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies as well as quality, health and safety, legal, and environmental requirements.
We are seeking a candidate with the following experience and attributes:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience within the medical device industry or related healthcare sector.
- Previous executive leadership experience with accountability for commercial strategy and business performance.
- International business experience and a demonstrated ability to grow markets globally.
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategies that achieve or exceed growth, revenue, and profitability targets.
- Experience scaling businesses and leading organizations through growth and change.
- Strong business acumen with expertise in strategic planning, financial management, budgeting, and operations.
- Demonstrated success leading sales, marketing, business development, and customer-focused organizations.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to translate data into action.
- Exceptional relationship-building, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Customer-centric leader with a passion for creating long-term partnerships and delivering value.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, develop, and inspire high-performing teams.
- Fluent English communication skills required; French language proficiency is considered an asset.
